Dewitt D. Tilden Memorial Post 316 is a not-for-profit Veteran service organization located in Atlantic Beach, Florida. Our post was chartered in 1974 and our doors have been opened since then. We are located at the intersection of Atlantic Boulevard and Mayport Road in a building that was erected in 1992. Our post consists of American Legion Post 316, Auxiliary Unit 316, Sons of the American Legion Squadron 316, and Legion Riders Chapter 316. Post 316 is part of the 5th District of the American Legion Department of Florida.

Our mission is to support local veterans and the local community.  We serve the veterans community through a number of job and career programs and through the support of other veterans-focused organizations. We are here to help veterans directly with their needs as well. We will work with any veteran in need to identify resources that can assist them, or even provide the camaraderie of brothers and sisters who understand their burdens and priorities.  We can also assist veterans in dealing with navigating the Veterans Administration. If you are a veteran in need, please reach out to us. And if you are a veteran in a position to help other veterans and the community at large, please contact us.
